The project was born as a joint initiative between the [[Future Worlds Center]], the [[Digital Futures]] and the [[Cyprus Youth Council]] and it is a part of the activities carried out under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency. It aims to bring together 24 young people from all across Europe in an attempt to envision, conceptualize and design new models of democratic governance that capitalize on the possibilities offered by contemporary as well as emerging digital technologies. The two-day event will be organized as an interactive co-laboratory, fully utilizing up-to-date methodologies and technologies of the science of structured democratic dialogue.

This builds on the priority of the Cypriot Presidency to address the topic of Youth Participation in democrtic life in Europe as a main priority of the trio PL-DK-CY, adopted by the ministers' meeting in the Council of Education, Youth, Culture and Sport.  
The co-laboratory will take place back-to-back with the Cyprus EU Youth Conference (Cyprus Presidency event) to enable the participation of up to 8 delegates from this youth conference. This builds on the priority of the Cypriot Presidency to address the topic of Youth Participation in democrtic life in Europe as a main priority of the trio PL-DK-CY, adopted by the ministers' meeting in the Council of Education, Youth, Culture and Sport.
