Andy Hegedus founded Demosophia LLC in 2012 with a mission to partner with organizations to help them address their most complex, messy, wicked problems using Structured Democratic Dialogue as one of their primary tools. Dr. Hegedus has consulted with the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center and a variety of other education organizations.
He is also the Sr. Research Manager for the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA), a global not-for-profit educational services organization known for their assessments, professional development, and research. Prior to joining NWEA, Dr. Hegedus worked for the Christina School District in Wilmington, DE, a large urban/suburban public school district serving 17,000 students in 28 schools. He led the research and assessment, and technology departments, and was responsible for federal and state funding, as well as competitive grants.
Prior to his career in education, he held a wide variety of positions with the Exelon Corporation, Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station. He is the author of articles on using data wisely in school improvement efforts, and on goal setting to improve performance.
