The Cyprus Broadcast Corporation The Cyprus Radio started operating in 1953 and the Cypriot Television in 1957. The great development of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation began in 1960, after Cyprus become independence. During this period changed from Cyprus Radio to Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation and has since operated as a semi-government organization.
