Mrs. Letizia Atti joined Future Worlds Center as an Intern in January 2012. Her current involvement is in the New Media Lab and especially in the Cyberethics project, with a scholarship from the Leonardo Program.


Short Bio

Letizia has earned a BSc in Educational and Social Sciences from University of Bologna, Italy and an MSc in in “Evaluation and intervention in cases of child abuse and paedophilia” at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. She worked for several years as coordinator and educator in different projects of education and social inclusion for children and adolescents with mental and physical disabilities, or at risk of social exclusion. She was the coordinator of an educational art workshop of videomaking at the juvenile detention center I. Siciliani of Bologna, focused on the topic of legality, adolescence and minor’s rights. She collaborated with the hotline Hot114 Service - Childhood Emergency run by Telefono Azzurro,Italy.

2011: Planning, coordination and management of workshop in schools for teachers, parents and adolescents focused on the topic “Young people and new technologies: risks and opportunities.”

2001 – 2011: Trainer and educator, at the vocational training centre of Opera dell’Immacolata via Decumana 45/2, Bologna. Planning, coordination and management in different projects:

  • Projects of education and social inclusion for adolescents with mental and physical disabilities, or at risk of social exclusion.
  • Training course for young people with physical and mental disabilities.
  • Project assessment of employability regarding adults with physical and mental disabilities.

January-May 2011: Educational art workshop of videomaking at the juvenile detention center I. Siciliani of Bologna, with the film director Antonio Martino focused on the topic of legality, adolescence and minor’s rights

June-September 2010: Educator and social worker in the Maya villages in Quintana Roo, Mexico, in collaboration with a Mexican Association, in different area:

  • Socio-educational project for children, adolescents and women for supporting development of Maya’s culture and society
  • Training course for Maya women
  • Shooting of a documentary on the condition of Maya women and family violence
  • Lessons of Italian language and music.

April-September 2009: Collaboration with the hotline Hot114 Service - Childhood Emergency run by Telefono Azzurro, viale Montenegro 6, Milano, in the following area:
