SDD Credit Point System

The SDD Credit Point System documents the many alternative ways by which any practitioner can earn credits for the SDD Certification Scheme. These are described below:


Certification as Candidate SDD co-Facilitator

Application can be made, and certificate will be issued when at least 6 credits have been earned. Certification status is however fulfilled when at least 10 credits have been accumulated.

Credits can be earned in the following ways:

Process Credits Description
Participate in a regular SDDP 2 Regular means an SDDP with all steps implemented. For a shorter, i.e., demonstration SDDP, 1 credit maybe awarded upon recommendation of the Certified SDD Facilitator conducting the SDDP. A maximum of 4 credits can be earned through participation in SDDPs.
Secure a Mentor 1 Any Certified SDD Facilitator has the right to serve as Mentor for both Candidate and Certified co-Facilitators.
Attend an SDD School or equivalent Max 6 Participation in a regular (i.e., at least 3-day long) SDD School awards 2 credits. For apprenticeship with self-study a max of 3 credits can be earned upon recommendation of the Mentor. Up to 6 credits can be earned through SDD School participation or verified self-study.
Serve as Broker to organize an SDDP 1 or 2 The Evaluation Committee decides based on the complexity of the event. Playing an instrumental role towards organizing an SDD School awards 2 credits. A max of 2 credits can be earned through this process.
Attend the Certified Systemic Analyst Professional program Max 6 A student who completes the SDD module of the program (including the exam) earns 2 credits. A max of 4 credits can be earned if a student conducts her/his project on Dialogic Design Science. A past CSAP graduate can apply for 6 credits provided they do not overlap with credits earned for participation in the same program.


A Certified SDD co-Facilitator needs at least 10 additional unit credits, which can be earned in the following ways:


  • Participant in an SDD 1 (max 2)
  • CogniscopeTM Operator 1 (max 2)
  • Co-facilitated SDDs 1 (max 2)
  • Broker 1 (max 2)
  • Member of KMT 1
  • SDD Reports 1 (max 2)
  • Research activities 1 (max 2; depends on recommendations)
  • Scientific publications 1 (max 2; depends on recommendations)

A Certified SDD Facilitator needs at least 10 additional unit credits, which can be earned in the following ways:

  • Participant in an SDD 1 (max 2)
  • Cogniscope Operator 1 (max 2)
  • Co-facilitated SDDs 1 (max 2)
  • Broker 1 (max 2)
  • Member of KMT 1
  • SDD Reports 1 (max 2)
  • Advanced theoretical 3 (earned in 2 or more SDD Schools)
  • Research activities 1 (max 2; depends on recommendations)
  • Scientific publications 1 (max 2; depends on recommendations)


Notes:

  1. The recommendation of the mentor is required for advancement from one level to the next
  2. Certificates are issued upon verification of at least 60% of credits required and payment of the certification fee.
  3. Credits earned are shown on the certificate
  4. Certification is valid provided the yearly membership fee is settled
