He received his B.A. from Panteion University (Greece); M.A. from the University of Stockholm (Sweden); and Ph.D. from Miami University (USA). He was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard and taught at the University of Alabama; Gustavus Adolphus College (Minnesota); and Miami University. He also served as Minister Plenipotentiary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.
