Xenia studied Political Science at the University of Cyprus and completed a Master in International Relations from the Univ. of Essex, UK. Before joining Future Worlds Center (at that time: Cyprus Neuroscience & Technology Institute), she was employed as a Research Assistant for the Univ. of Cyprus for projects "Women and Politics," Volunteerism, and " "Turkey's Foreign Policy on Cyprus". She then served at FWC as full-time coordinator of the bi-communal UNDP/UNOPS-funded youth group "Youth Promoting Peace" (Y2P) between the fall of 2002 and the fall of 2003. Xenia is a strong supporter of the reunification of Cyprus and has been active in many bicommunal forums. She has accumulated experience in EU programs having received funding for a EUROMED project prepared by her in the framework of Y2P. She also served as Researcher for Eucitizenship.net, as Administrator for a EUMEDIS project (www.medpride.net), and as the Manager for a Leonardo project [[BiblioForMeda.net]].
