The European Union of Systemics (EUS) is a 1988-founded community of national scientific societies that promotes systemic research and practice in Europe. Its main activities include organizing a triennial congress and publishing the journal Acta Europeana Systemica (AES). There is also an EU project called SYSTEMIC that focuses on recovering mineral components from biowaste for a circular economy.


Mission

To promote European research and practice of "systemics," a multidisciplinary approach to understanding complex systems.

Activities

Organizes a major congress every three years to bring together system specialists. Publishes the scientific journal Acta Europeana Systemica. Focus: Encourages synergies between different disciplines to develop new theoretical models, methods, and tools.
