A total of 7 SDDPs/Co-Laboratories with title Getting the Best out of our Network were organized in 2107 by the Cyberethics: Cyprus Safer Internet Center to support the Insafe network focus and improve its vision, mission and action plans. Representatives from all 27 Safer Internet Nodes across Europe participating in the Insafe Training Conference Limassol 2007 have contributed their ideas. They were split in three groups, which participated in three parallel Co-laboratories:

Participants of Co-Laboratory A explored the weaknesses of the current model of interactions within the network.

  1. Insafe SDDP: Getting The Best Out Of Our Network - Problématique

Triggering Question:

Participants of Co-Laboratory B were asked to visualize the ideal scenario of a well-functioning and efficient network between all European network of Safer Internet Nodes.

Triggering Question: What are descriptors that characterize an ideal, efficient network of EU safer internet nodes?

Participants of Co-Laboratory C generated action options to be taken to overcome the obstacles in order to achieve the ideal model of an Insafe network.

Triggering Question: What actions can the current network of EU Safer Internet nodes take in order to reach the ideal and efficient network?

On the following days, the participants joined a few more parallel Co-Laboratories, which explored the following issues:

  1. Insafe SDDP: Engaging Educators - Defining the problématique

Triggering Question: What are obstacles that prevent us from engaging educators?

  1. Insafe SDDP: Engaging Educators - Defining the ideal means and ideal collaboration model

Triggering Question:

  1. Insafe SDDP: Achieving Max Media with Minimum Budget - Defining an Action Plan

Triggering Question: What ideas and actions can nodes do to materialize achieving max media with limited budget?

The European Commission has subsequently sponsored another SDDP, which took place on the 6th of December 2007 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Brussels, Belgium. About half of the staff of the European network of Safer Internet Nodes were engaged for three hours in a structured dialogue focusing on the following Triggering Question:

  1. Insafe SDDP: Getting The Best Out Of Our Network - Action plan

Triggering Question: What actions can the current network of EU Safer Internet nodes take in order to reach the ideal and efficient network?

The outcomes were adopted by the Insafe Coordinating Group and were necessary changes were implemented.
